  • No, errors that occur during rebalancing cannot be checked using the status of the volume rebalance show command.
  • In versions earlier than ONTAP 9.16.1, user-detectable messages were not available.
  • Therefore, aps.rebalance events and aps.aggr events were added, along with related EMS messages that can be detected in the event of a rebalance failure.
  • For versions earlier than ONTAP 9.16.1, no direct method exists to detect such errors through commands, logs, or messages.
  • Verification is only possible by upgrading to ONTAP 9.16.1.
