Answer

  • Yes, Upgrading a node that has disabled interface group (ifgrp) ports is supported when all of the following conditions are true:
    • The disabled ifgrp ports are not assigned to any logical interface (LIF)
    • All required system, management, and data traffic uses other active ports or ifgrps
    • No production or operational dependency exists on the disabled ports
  • When these conditions are met, disabled ifgrp ports do not impact the upgrade process or system availability.
  • Recommendation:remove disabled ifgrp ports if they are permanently unused to reduce configuration complexity
