Issue

  • The ONTAP System Manager is accessible with the cluster management IP.
  • When it is attempted to access with an SVM management IP, it reports that the certificate installed is not trusted and that it is expired, as shown below:

  • However, using CLI, it is seen that the certificate is valid and not expired:
Cluster::> security certificate show -vserver svm01
Vserver    Serial Number   Certificate Name                       Type
---------- --------------- -------------------------------------- ------------
svm01          320005D0XXXXXXXX6AF69ECFB00020005D0EA
                           abc.com                      server
    Certificate Authority: Corporate Device CA
          Expiration Date: Tue Jul 21 14:34:23 2026
  • The issue is not resolved by disabling and enabling the certificate or even after removing and reinstalling the certificate.
