  • There is no single, guaranteed duration for every environment or workload.
  • The duration for post-process efficiency operations (deduplication and compression) varies significantly based on:
    • Hardware configuration (number and type of disks, RAID type)
    • Volume size
    • Data type and data change rate
    • System load and other I/O activity
    • Deduplication/compression ratios
  • Review past efficiency job durations on the system using volume efficiency show  command.
