Issue

  • Attempts to modify volume efficiency settings (specifically to enable compression and disable inline compression) fails with below error.
volume efficiency modify -vserver vserver1 -volume volume1 -compression true -inline-compression false -schedule auto
command failed: Failed to modify efficiency configuration for volume "volume1" of Vserver "vserver1":
Enabling compression and disabling inline compression, or specifying the "-inline-compression" parameter when the "compression" parameter is not specified, are not supported for volumes with autoadaptive compression.
  • The aggregates have AutoAdaptive Compression enabled
