Answer

  • Newer NVIDIA SN2100 Ethernet switches report manufacturing part numbers as "X190006-PE" or "X190006-PI".
  • However, earlier switches report "MSN2100-CB2FC" and "MSN2100-CB2RC."
  • That is why we see the warning as "Unsupported Cluster Switch Firmware 5.11.0 for switch model MSN2100-CB2FC in Target Release 9.14.1P10" in the Upgrade Advisory, even though ONTAP 9.14.1P10 is compatible with Cumulus version 5.11.0.
  • This warning can be safely ignored if the ONTAP is supported with Cumulus version 5.11.0 when confirmed  from switch compatibility matrix nvidia-cluster-switch
