Issue

  • ONTAP CLI command is unsuccessful:

::> system cluster-switch log collect -device <switch_name>

  • Error displayed:

::*> system cluster-switch log show
Log Collection Enabled: true
Index Switch                                Log Timestamp        Status
------ ------------------------------------ -------------------  -------------
     1 switch1 (serial number#1)            -                    switch password error
     2 switch2 (serial number#2)            -                    switch password error
