Brocade FC switch port disabled as switch not read for F or L ports

Issue

  • After FC switch was rebooted, a port does not come up with status Switch not ready for F or L ports:

12  12  030c00   id    N32     No_Sync     FC  Disabled (Switch not ready for F or L ports)

  • errdump indicates a problem running FSPF exchange and synchronization protocol to another switch in the fabric:

[NBFS-1005], 171232, FID 128 | PORT 0/45, INFO, switch2, FSPF experiencing link issues on port 45 in state NB_ST_INIT (1).

  • FSPF neighbor stuck in initializing state:
