Answer

  • Disabling the IFL port does not alter the zoning configuration, unless the zoning is explicitly modified, the zoning configuration will remain unaffected
  • When the IFL ports are disabled, they will lose connectivity to the other fabric
  • If the IFL port is disabled and then re-enabled, the port will retain its IFL status, no re-configuration is required

  • Prerequisites: Prior to configuring an IFL , it is important to note that configuring both IFLs (EX_Ports) and ISLs (E_Ports) from a backbone fabric to the same edge fabric simultaneously is not supported
