SMTP test email fails with unknown error in SANtricity system manager

Issue
When configuring SMTP alerts in SANtricity System Manager for a E-Series node , test emails fail with the error:
Email test failed because:There was an unknown error with the mail serverweb-server-trace-log shows :jakarta.mail.MessagingException: Got bad greeting from SMTP host: <smtp server>, port: 25, response: 421 4.3.2 Service not available
