E-series: How to consolidate the free capacity for a volume group

Description

  • If consolidation of  the free capacity for a volume group is recommended the array will usually inform the administrator by genenating an alert. The administrator can also initiated a manual consilidation but come criteria must be met for successful execution.
  • The goal is to consolidate existing free extents on a selected volume group. This way the free capacity from the different volumegroups can be optimal used.
