Issue

  • After performing a successful manual failback operation on an E-Series storage system, the I/O paths unexpectedly revert to a non-optimal path within a few minutes.
  • The E-Series Major Event Log reports the following events:

B:7/30/25, 8:13:46 PM (20:13:46) 85912 3025 A Set Target Port Groups (STPG) command was received for this volume and caused the volume to be transferred - Volume storxxx_xx_xxx - hbaAlias: storxxx_xxx hbaWWN: 10xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
