Event Summary
SANtricity reports unreadable sectors in the Recovery GURU:
USM_UNREADABLE_SECTORS_EXIST-Recovery Failure Type Code: 75
Validate
Major Event Log will display the following error:
Event type: 6700
Event category: Error
Priority: Critical
Description: Unreadable sector(s) detected data loss occurred
Resolution
Resolution depends on certain conditions.
For single drive reporting unreadable sectors:
- Follow steps provided in Unreadable sectors on the E-series platforms on single drive
For all other causes such as:
- Multiple drive failures
- Volume failures
- Power outages
- Multiple hardware failures
