  • NetApp E-Series.
  • SANtricity OS: 11.80GA, 11.80P1 and prior releases.
  • SANtricity OS / NVSRAM upgrade to 12.0.

Issue

  • While attempting to upgrade E-Series SANtricity OS from 11.80GA/11.80P1 or prior release to 12.0 using SANtricity System Manager, the upgrade fails. A "Cannot Downgrade SANtricity OS Software" error message is returned:
