Issue

  • During backup operations of a SnapshotVolume, the following error is observed on the Host Kernel Log:
    Jul 7 10:20:14 kernel: sd 12:0:0:112: [sdax] tag#997 Sense Key : Hardware Error [current]
    Jul 7 10:20:14 kernel: sd 12:0:0:112: [sdax] tag#997 ASC=0x84 ASCQ=0x21
    Jul 7 10:20:14 kernel: sd 12:0:0:112: [sdax] tag#997 CDB: Read(10) 28 00 1d be fe e0 00 00 08 00
    Jul 7 10:20:14 kernel: Buffer I/O error on dev dm-64, logical block 62382044, async page read
  • No Error-level events were found in the Major Event Log (MEL), and there is no indication of a physical hardware issue.
