E-Series controller unreachable via management or serial connection after power outage

Issue

  • After a site power outage, controller became unreachable via both Web UI and ping.
  • 2nd Controller remained accessible, and all volumes showed optimal in SANtricity, with no alerts.
  • The management port on unresponsive controller was showing up and had green link lights and swapping management cables did not resolve the issue.
  • Switch side port showed up and also had a green link light
  • Attempts to connect via serial console to unresponsive controller failed, while connecting to 2nd responsive controller worked.
