Issue
- ASUPs and auto generated cases for hardware failures are not being created when a hardware failure occurs.
MEL ParserandMEL Parser Advanceddo not load and display the following error instead:
FIXIT: MEL Parser
Sorry.
This Fixit needs an ASUP that contains MAJOR-EVENT-LOG/MAJOR-EVENT-LOG-PARTIAL section.
It seems as if the current ASUP just does not have it.
The reason for this may be that the ASUP has been configured to send minimal content (options autosupport.content minimal).
Or this ASUP is of a type which just does not contain the necessary section (NHT DATA, PERFORMANCE etc).
You should try to run the Fixit against a different ASUP and/or check the content settings.
Weekly ASUPs and manually triggered ones are usually full of juicy sections for us to chew through.
- Daily and Weekly ASUPs are being generated but are missing the
major-event-log-partial.txt. web-server-trace-Bshows the following error:
2025-10-29 11:03:21,118 ERROR [SMMonitorTask-2028] trace [LoggingJdkHandler.java:32] [requestId=0, deviceId=N/A] [devmgr.versioned.sam.advanced.gathersupportdata.GatherSupportData gatherPartialEventLogFile] Unable to collect the following support data: Partial Major event log, java.lang.NegativeArraySizeException: -4252
