FIPS disks shows as broken state at the time of initial setup

Issue

  • During the initial setup of an ASA R2 system, cluster creation fails because all FIPS-certified encrypting NVMe drives are detected as failed or broken. The system generates the following alert:

    disk.encryptNoSupport: ALERT
  • The system refuses to use the drives due to a mismatch in the FIPS/encryption support state, preventing the cluster from being created
