Yes, Cloud license S3 SnapMirror External is a part of ONTAP One Compatibility bundle. However, ONTAP compatibility bundle needs to be booked to download Cloud licenses.

Additional Information

  • Cloud licenses – S3_SnapMirror_External and SnapMirror_Cloud are part of Compatibility Bundle.
  • S3_SnapMirror_External and SnapMirror_Cloud licenses operate at the cluster level not at the node level.
  • One Cloud license will be ordered per cluster. 
  • Licenses will not be generated on the NSS site for a specific system serial number rather need to be generated once for the entire cluster.
