SnapCenter fails to trigger SCV backup jobs intermittently due to "Deadlock found when trying to get lock" error

Issue

  • If multiple SCV backup jobs are configured to run at the same time, SnapCenter fails to trigger the backup jobs intermittently.
  • No backup Job ID is created.
  • No email notification is sent regarding the backup having failed to run.
  • SnapManagerWeb.log reports the following error.

ERROR SnapManagerWeb PID=[XXXX] TID=[XXX] Exception in method: CanExecute.
Deadlock found when trying to get lock; try restarting transaction : Detailed Exception Deadlock found when trying to get lock; try restarting transaction : BaseException Deadlock found when trying to get lock; try restarting transaction
ERROR SnapManagerWeb PID=[XXXX] TID=[XXX] ErrorCode (-1), ErrorMessage (Deadlock found when trying to get lock; try restarting transaction)
ERROR SnapManagerWeb PID=[XXXX] TID=[XXX] ErrorCode (110), ErrorMessage (Failed to add an entry to NLB job monitor for '<POLICY_NAME>' from node '<HOSTNAME>'.)
