SQL backup fails with: Unable to find any plugins on host after renaming instance

Issue

The scheduled backups start failing with the following messages:
GetClusterResourcesOwner - Backup name SQL <INSTANCE|RESGROUP>_<CLUSTERHOSTNAME>_<DATE>__<TIME>
Initialized host(<CLUSTERHOSTNAME>.<DOMAIN>) with id(0)
LoadHostPluginInfo Enter
Exception in method: Execute.
