Applies to

  • NetApp Data Broker (NDB) 1.0.1D1
  • SnapCenter Plug-in for VMware vSphere (SCV) 4.3
  • Usage of Cluster credentials in Storage Connections
  • VSERVER-DR used with -identity-preserve option

Issue

When running a backup with NFS Datastores in MCC or other VSERVER-DR environments, storage discovery fails with the following message:

SDGetStorageResult : HostResource : /<NFS_VOLUME>
No storage footprint available. Error : Failed to get the storage system for host resource : Name : /<NFS_VOLUME>, Type: SDNASDir, Code : 104
Error Message : Failed to get the storage system for host resource : Name : /<NFS_VOLUME>, Type: SDNASDir

This happens, despite both Clusters that contain these SVMs having been registered under the storage connections with all SVMs
