NDB does not delete old backup Snapshot(s) due to "No backups found"

Applies to

  • NetApp Data Broker (NDB)
  • Retention settings of the associated policy is Days to keep N

Issue

  • NDB backup completes without error but the old backup Snapshot created N days ago is not deleted
  • Job-<JOB_ID>.log reports No backups found with the "Cut-off date & time" information

Example:
[INF] Starting retention for Resource Group (XXXX) & Policy (XXXX)
[INF] Retention days 1 (Cut-off date & time: MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM:SS)
[INF] No backups found
