Socket timed out error on OnCommand Insight when acquiring a Data ONTAP datasource

  • When acquisition runs for the datasource it fails with an error stating the socket timed out
  • Checking the acquisition logs reveals the following error:
2020-04-13 09:07:59,817 ERROR [com.onaro.sanscreen.acquisition.framework.datasource.BaseDataSource] exampleFiler01 [Error connecting] - Error in partner IP - Socket timeout error with ZAPI at:, timeout: 300s, assert filer connectivity and/or increase timeout
