Issue

  • The IBM Cognos service fails to start.
  • IBM Cognos Configuration Utility fails with the following error. (This can also be seen in <install_directory>\SANscreen\cognos\analytics\log\cognosserver.log)

Caused by: com.ibm.db2.jcc.am.SqlException: Smart Large Objects: The metadata area in the sbspace is full.. SQLCODE=-12123,

  • Reports restored from backup to a newer version of DWH may not show up after the restore.
