How to modify data retention period in OCI / DWH ?

Answer

  • The default retention period for OCI is 90 days
  • The data retention period in OCI can be changed with oadmin from the hidden URL:

  • The default retention for DWH is 13 months
  • In DWH the default retention period can be changed with oadmin from Troubleshooting > Configuration:

Additional Information

  • Usually those defaults should not be changed.
  • If you need to make the changes due to lack of space, it is advised to make sure OCI and DWH servers are sized correctly rather then changing those defaults.
