Applies to

  • ActiveIQ Unified Manager 9.6+ (AIQUM) all OS platforms
  • VMware vSphere
  • NFS Datastores residing on ONTAP and monitored by AIQUM

Issue

  • VMs hosted on NFS datastores are not discovered by AIQUM
  • au.log:
WARN [common-pool-2792] c.o.s.a.d.v.b.VmBuilder (VmBuilder.java:151) - Skipping VM [name='<VM Name>' moid=vm-<ID>'] with uuid [<UUID>] . Reason - either no virtual disks attached to it or all virtual disks are skipped
[common-pool-2792] c.o.s.a.d.v.b.VirtualDiskBuilder (VirtualDiskBuilder.java:97) - Skipping Virtual Disk [[Datastore Name] vCLS (52)/vCLS (52).vmdk] backed by unsupported DataStore [datastore-xxxxx]
recording file shows UM doesn't discover the volume as NFS datastore:
