Description

When installing Active IQ Unified Manager (UM), for various reasons the POSTIN script portion of the installation may fail. If the POSTIN script fails to start the OCIE service, the following error will be seen in the post-install logs found at /var/log/ocum.

Feb 04 13:42:31: Postinstall - Failed to start Active IQ Management Server services.

If the install process finishes in this way, the installation is incomplete. However, there are steps that can be taken to manually complete the steps skipped by the POSTIN script failure.
