After upgrading from AIQUM 9.10p1 or 9.11 to 9.11p1 cluster acquisition stop working

Issue

  • After upgrading AIQUM to 9.11p1 from 9.11 or 9.10p1 services are showing running but cluster acquisition are not updating in webUI.
  • No performance data shows in cluster performance view page.
  • Error seen in au.log.
    • 2022-09-20 00:00:09,804 INFO  [main] c.o.s.a.f.m.CommunicationManager (CommunicationManager.java:411) - Attempting to verify server at: https://localhost:443
      2022-09-20 00:00:09,824 INFO  [main] c.o.s.a.f.m.CommunicationManager (CommunicationManager.java:390) - Could not communicate with the server; will retry in 10000ms
  • Error seen in jep.log.
    • 2022-09-16 18:09:29,414 ERROR [main] [com.netapp.jeps.keystoresetup.Main] Error while fetching aliases of parent certificate for certificate of alias <alias_name>
      2022-09-16 18:09:29,416 ERROR [main] [com.netapp.jeps.keystoresetup.Main] Exception setting up keystores
      java.lang.NullPointerException: null
       at com.netapp.dfm.common.lite.security.AliasUtils.fetchAliasesOfCertificateChain(AliasUtils.java:100)
       at com.netapp.jeps.keystoresetup.Main.migrateOntapVCenterUMLocalhostCerts(Main.java:822)
  • Error seen in putty console logs during the upgrade
    • ERROR: Setting Keystore and Trustore using keystoresetup JEP. Response Code: 72
  • LDAP authentication issue may also be affected by the upgrade.
