StorageGRID: Is it possible to change the default S3 HTTPS port?
Applies to
StorageGRID 11.3 and higher
Answer
It can be done but it is not recommended
Additional Information
- There is a way to remap the load-balancer port (8082) or the (internal) storage node port (18082) by using port forwarding
- This can cause issues when performing StorageGRID upgrades etc.
- A better option is to use the built-in
nginx-gw
load-balancer (StorageGRID 11.3 and higher) and choose your own ports (endpoints).- Be aware not to select any pre-defined ports used by StorageGRID, see Internal grid node communications
