StorageGRID shows unable to communincate with node alert and node stuck in boot loop

  • StorageGRID software version 11.9.x and later

Issue

  • StorageGRID reports the Unable to communicate with Node alert in the Grid Manager UI. The node entered maintenance/unknown state and was caught in a continuous boot loop. 
  • The node repeatedly displayed the BOOTCODE=HA message and rebooted, never entering normal operational state.
  • No definitive hardware failure events found in BMC/SEL logs.
