StorageGRID expansion stuck at configuring network at admin or gateway node

Issue

  • When expanding a GRID with Admin or Gateway nodes, the expansion is stuck at the stage: Configuring networks Error: Retrying configuration updateconfigurationstuck.png
 
  • From the  KVM console of the affected node, we see below error:

Failed to execute sh command with 'timeout 60 /usr/sbin/update_snmpd_config.rb /tmp/SNMP.json 2>81' on localhost - 1, /usr/local/sbin/update_snmp_config.rb:247:in '<main>': undefined method 'elif' for main:Object (NoMethodError)
