Node cloning process stalls with target node unstable after being rebooted

Issue

  • During a StorageGRID hardware migration, cloning a StorageGRID appliance node stalls at 79%
  • Both source and target nodes have been rebooted ion the attempt to resolve the issue but causing the following situation:
    • Target node joined the StorageGRID cluster like it was done with the cloning process but goes into unknown (blue status)/ Node is unavailable status from time to time .
    • Source node became unreachable.
  • Object store capacity percentages differ between this node and previously migrated nodes via node clone (in showing the same size as source node vs more space available on other cloned nodes).
