Do NetApp StorageGrid nodes re-balance LUNs after new LUNs are added to an existing node?

Answer

  • At this time the Grid does not re-balance LUNs within a storage node, the full LUNs will remain full even after a new LUN is added to the node.
  • The node will continue to operate normally and use the newly added free space of the LUN, however it will not re-balance the data across all the LUNs.
