Can the default system accounts be modified in StorageGRID environment?

  • Software releases: 11.8, 11.9 and 12.0

Answer

  • The following user accounts cannot be renamed, disabled, or deleted in StorageGRID environment:
    •  StorageGRID Grid Manager and Tenant Manager: root
    • StorageGRID Console Access: admin, root
  •  These accounts are required as a function of the product when Single Sign-On (SSO) is disable, and to ensure product supportability/maintainability.
  • The administrator may only update the password for above accounts using below procedures:
