High CPU utilization observed on the StorageGRID nodes during Commvault backup job

Issue

  • The high CPU usage alerts on StorageGRID nodes getting triggered during backup hours.  
  • The issue occurred randomly on different Grid nodes based on their usage patterns. During backup jobs, CPU utilization spiked to 90%, which was significantly higher than the normal 30%.
