Answer

  • ILM scan rate can be changed after carefully analyzing of the CPU cycles, memory utilization and disk latency on the nodes.
  • For the procedure to change the ILM scan rate
  • To see how much the speed has increased, compare two FULL DAY audit logs: grep -c ORLM /var/local/audit/export/audit.log
    • The audit.log covers the current day. For previous days, check available audit logs (ls -ltrh /var/local/audit/export) files and insert in above command in place of audit.log.
