ONTAP FabricPool uses standard S3 operations against the objects and bucket during its interaction with a capacity tier like StorageGRID. Below is a the list of those operations:

  • PUT
  • GET
  • LIST
  • DELETE
  • HEAD

ONTAP 9.8 introduced object tagging capabilities to FabricPool, which allows users to add custom tags to FabricPool objects in the form of a custom key value pair to better manage their data. Object tagging is disabled by default, but if enabled then additional operations can be issued by ONTAP FabricPool to StorageGRID:

  • PUT TAG
  • GET TAG
