StorageGRID fails to return to the normal mode after storage controller replacement

Issue

  • After replacing a storage controller, StorageGRID compute node fails to exit maintenance mode by rebooting from the StorageGRID Appliance Installer.
  • The seven-segment display of the replaced storage controller shows a state of 99.
  • StorageGRID Appliance Installer shows the following error.

500: INTERNAL SERVER ERROR

Unable to clear maintenance mode flag. An additional reboot might be necessary.

  • The error persists even after trying additional reboots from the StorageGRID Appliance Installer.
