SG6000 compute node reports "Up" on port 1 when physically connected to port 2

  • StorageGRID Installer (PGE) version 3.6.0

Issue

  • StorageGRID installer page shows port 1 is "Up" while a cable is physically plugged into port 2 (second port from left)

  • This behavior prevents new appliance deployments from utilizing fixed mode network link configuration as it mixes up GRID and CLIENT network.
  • Appliances deployed in existing environments may report the following alerts:
    • Storage appliance link down on network port 1, 2, 3, or 4
    • Storage appliance link down on Grid Network (or Client Network)
