Answer

  • If the Load Balancer Endpoint certificate being renewed is the exact same, as in same Certificate Authority (CA) signer to extend expiration date, the existing client connections will remain and any new connections will use the new certificate.
  • If there is a different CA signer than before, it could break an existing connection for the active client connections, requiring a new connection to be established over the new certificate.
