Storage controller cannot be pinged and Appliance Installer reports error

SG5760 Appliance Storage Controller (E2800)

Issue

  • The management IP of the E2800 storage controller cannot be pinged.
  • The 7-segment display shows "00".
  • The LED indicating the port used for inter-controller communication is turned off.
  • The heartbeat LED is turned off.
  • The issue persists even after rebooting the E2800 controller.
  • Appliance Installer displays the following error message:
There was an error accessing the storage controller while acquiring the latest hardware status information. If the warning persists for more than 10 minutes, check for any hardware issues.
