StorageGRID node SG5712 stuck at Rebooting during SGRID firmware upgrade to 12.0

Issue

  • During the StorageGRID version upgrade to 12.0, storage node got stuck at 82% rebooting.

  • StorageGRID UI reports Unable to communicate with node with Unresponsive services.
  • Compute node (SG5700) is reporting HO (The StorageGRID appliance is running).
  • E-series controller (E2800) is reporting 99 indicating it is online.
  • Appliance Installer Page is accessible, however it's stating we need to "Start the Installation".
  • PGE syslog indicates node is in maintenance mode and StorageGRID is NOT installed 
    • [2026-03-16 13:24:34+00:00 SGA] [root@StorageGRID-PGE:/root] >>> rm -f /mnt/StorageGRID-SG-OS-root/run/maintenance.mode
      [2026-03-16 13:24:34+00:00 SGA] [root@StorageGRID-PGE:/root] >>> umount /dev/mapper/StorageGRID-SG-OS-part2
      [2026-03-16 13:24:34+00:00 SGA] StorageGRID is NOT installed.
