StorageGRID multiple hardware failure alerts due to sudden loss of BMC configuration

- NetApp StorageGRID
- Appliance models: SGF6112, SG110, SG1100, and SG6160.
- Baseboard Management Controller (BMC)
- Pre-deployed and configured in a StorageGRID environment
Issue
- In StorageGRID Grid Manager under Nodes > Hardware, the appliance reports an Unknown value for the BMC IP address:

- Pinging the BMC’s IP address may fail during the first few attempts, even though the correct IP is displayed.
- In StorageGRID Grid Manager, one or more alerts within a few minutes may be present for the affected node(s):
- Alert for both A and B power supplies:
Appliance compute controller power supply A has a problemAppliance compute controller power supply B has a problem
- Alerts for ALL the drives (
HDD00 -HDD011) and fan units (Fan_SYS0 - Fan_SYS7):Appliance DAS drive fault detectedAppliance fan fault detected
- Alert for both A and B power supplies:
- In maintenance mode, the Appliance Installer Page reports the following alert:
Appliance model cannot be determined from hardware. Normal operation is not possible. Attempt an A/C power cycle of the system. If this error persists, contact technical support.

- While in maintenance mode, the Appliance Installer BMC configuration page (Configure Hardware > BMC) displays below message:
This appliance model doesn't not have a Baseboard Management Controller to configure
