Issue

  • On a near full GRID with data load > 80%, after adding new node(s) and trying to run EC Rebalance it stops within seconds.
  • Job shows as success, but Site Imbalance shows calculating:

# rebalance-data status --job-id <job_id>
==============================================================================
Job ID : <job_id>
Site : <site_name>
State : Success
Planned Moves : 0
Completed Moves : 0
Failed Moves : 0
Start Time : 2024-12-14 06:45:44 UTC
End Time : 2024-12-14 06:45:50 UTC
Site Imbalance : Calculating
Retry Rebalance : No
==============================================================================

  • There are no errors in either rebalance-data.log or bycast.log on the EC leader node.
