Applies to

  • NetApp StorageGRID Appliances SG6160 and SG5860
  • SANtricity OS 11.80.1 / 11.80.1R1

Issue

  • Newly added SG6160 or SG5860 appliances reporting unknown temperature sensor upon installation.
  • StorageGRID UI reports the following alerts for affected node(s):
    •  Appliance storage shelves degraded
    • Appliance storage controller hardware issue
  • StorageGRID UI reports the following alerts when attempting to apply SANtricity OS version 11.80.1R2 or later via Grid Manager:
    • Maintenance > Software update: 
      • "An error occurred during the most recent SANtricity OS upgrade. You must retry the SANtricity OS upgrade before you can apply a hotfix or upgrade to a new StorageGRID release. If you cannot upgrade SANtricity OS, contact technical support."
    • Maintenance > Software update > SANtricity OS: 
      • "SANtricity OS deployment completed with errors: Failed to apply the update to one of more nodes"
