Grid Manager returns "Service unavailable”(HTTP 503) after upgrading StorageGRID primary admin node

Issue

  • Grid Manager returns Service unavailable after completing the upgrade of primary admin node

  • The upgrade workflow does not proceed to upgrade other nodes, the GUI returned to the Select files step

  • NODES tab and other management functions were inaccessible due to Service unavailable

NODES tab and other management functions were inaccessible due to <code>Service unavailable

  • The issue resolved itself without manual intervention (after 20 minutes for example)
  • /var/local/log/prometheus.log indicates it takes a long time to get ready for web requests with "Server is ready to receive web requests." since "Starting Prometheus Server"
