StorageGRID Version 10.4 or higher.

Answer

  • When applying patches to the StorageGRID SW on appliances and VMs, the underlying Linux OS is also patched.
  • However, for bare metal, the installer only updates the docker container and the base OS packages must be updated manually. The procedure for this is documented on the NetApp Support site.
