Can the StorageGRID provisioning passphrase be changed immediately after it has been changed

Answer

  • No. The provisioning passphrase cannot be changed immediately after being changed.
  • Allow some time for the system to roll out the changes before changing the provisioning phrase again.

To retrieve the status of the provisioning passphrase change:
  1. In Grid Manager, click the question mark icon located at the top right side of the screen.
  2. Select API Documentation.
  3. Scroll down to grid-passwords and expand by clicking the arrow on the right side.
  4. Locate /grid/change-provisioning-passphrase and click GET.
  5. Click Try it out.
  6. Click Execute.
