Backup application failing with file not exist due to bucket listing performance issue on StorageGRID 11.6.0.7

  • StorageGRID 11.6.0.7 and prior
  • Listing bucket from / (root) prefix
  • Backup application client connected to StorageGRID bucket

Issue

  • StorageGRID responding slow while performing HEAD / Listing on the buckets with / (root) prefix.
  • Due to this, the backup application file listing time out and respond with file not exist.
  • Due to the slow listing the DELETE / PURGE actions on Veeam  can also get stuck.
